Ed Foley
Finishing Line Optimization Advisor
Area Sales Manager, U.S.A.
Ed's approach to sales is grounded in empathy and understanding, shaped by his diverse experiences in the industry.
32 Years of Experience in the Packaging Industry
Following a three-year service commitment in Germany, Ed began his career in the packaging industry in 1989. Ed spent time on both the Converting and Packaging sides of the business for renowned brand owners like Kimberly Clark and Kellogg’s. His initial role as a Finishing Manager at a Folding Carton plant was a significant learning experience, thanks to the patience and support of his department. He fondly recalls his early days in the Folding Carton plant, working alongside dedicated colleagues like Betty and Marlene, striving to meet production targets. Later, as a packaging engineer, his innovative package designs have been recognized with Worldstar and Ameristar awards in the paperboard category. Additionally, he has several patents granted in Packaging.
Proactive Adopter of Innovation and Technology
Transitioning into sales, Ed began with Capital Adhesives, managing a Midwest territory and expanding sales in Canada and Colorado. His proactive adoption of technology and innovation has been a consistent theme throughout his career. An interesting anecdote from his college days highlights this trait: using his tip money from waiting tables, he invested in a promising California-based fruit company named Apple.
Helping Customers Solve Problems
What Ed finds most rewarding in sales is the opportunity to help customers solve their problems. Working with Impack, he focuses on offering equipment that enhances efficiency and reduces physical strain for workers.
On a personal note...
When Ed’s not on the road helping customers optimize their finishing line, you’ll find him on the lake, sailing or playing hockey.
